With a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary and a Master’s Degree in FNMI Curriculum Leadership from the University of Lethbridge, her commitment to evolving the educational landscape with Indigenous perspectives is unparalleled. Currently pursuing her PhD, Teena is not only an academic but a leader guiding the next generation with her work and teachings.

Arising from Challenges

Teena opens up about her life’s most challenging moments – becoming a mother at 17, surviving an abusive marriage, and overcoming the feeling of ostracization from her community. Yet, these struggles reaffirmed her inners strength that fueled her journey towards hope and empowerment.
